Allscripts shareholders sue over alleged false company statements

Shareholders of Allscripts-Misys Healthcare Solutions have sued the Chicago-based ambulatory EMR vendor after CEO Glen Tullman told some users that the company may have rushed version 11 of its flagship TouchWorks EMR to market. The suit, filed in federal court in Chicago, alleges that Allscripts violated federal securities laws by overstating its financial projections even though the company supposedly knew it couldn't meet its promises to customers with version 11.

The filers seek class-action status on behalf of all those who purchased Allscripts common stock between May 8, 2007 and Feb. 13, 2008. Company officials are denying the charges.
