Meaningful Use incentive payments top $10.6 billion
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has paid out more than $10.6 billion in incentive payments to providers via the Meaningful Use program, according to statistics released this week. In December 14,978 eligible professionals and hospitals joined the program, bringing the number of total active registrations to 355,068.
More than 100,000 eligible professionals in the Medicare program have been paid, as well as more than 69,000 eligible professionals in the Medicaid program, and 3,525 eligible hospitals.
