SPOTLIGHT: Achieving small-practice EMR adoption

A loaded question apparently has exposed sharp differences of opinion on how to promote physician use of EMRs. An informal poll of attendees at the recent Health 2.0 Conference asked how long it would take "for health 2.0 to drive small physician-practice adoption," according to iHealthBeat. While more than 70 percent said that it would take a minimum of six years to convert even half of physicians in small practices from paper to electronic records, the comments from two panelists were more telling.
