SPOTLIGHT: Physician practices struggle with choosing, implementing EHRs, MGMA says

Not surprisingly, selecting and implementing EHRs has moved into the top three daily challenges of running a physician practice, according to a newly released survey from the Medical Group Management Association, trailing only dealing with rising operating costs and managing finances during this period of uncertainty about Medicare reimbursement rates. "EHRs? Stress city. Not only must practices struggle to come up a way--amid their staggering operating costs--to fund and implement the technology, but guard against liability risks of which they may have not even considered," FiercePracticeManagement editor Debra Beaulieu writes in her weekly commentary.
